Few questions asked by Rajendra Ganotra about Cosmetic, Botox, Plastic Surgery etc
Q) What is breast implant and how many types of implant are there?
A) By inserting an implant behind each breast , surgeons are able to increase a
Woman’s bustline by one or more bra cup sizes.
Types of implants- The choice of implant filler implant size and other features will be determined based on patient’s breast anatomy, body type and patient’s desired increase in size. Patient’s lifestyle, goals and personal preferences, as well plastic surgeon’s recommendations and sound surgical judgement are also determining factors.
Breast implants are medical devices with a solid silicon, rubber shell. The implant shell may be filled with either saline solution or elastic silicone gel. Both saline and silicone gel breast implants are approved by the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Approval means that an implant has been rigorously researched and tested, and reviewed by an independent panel of physicians for safety.
Q) What are wrinkles?
A) Looking good does marvels for the inner self. Unfortunately, time can play spoilsport. For many the first line, the first tension crease on the forehead may just leave a mark of worry. This is where the word “wrinkle” comes into play. Techically, wrinkles is the thin, creased and sagging skin that is especially noticeable on the face, neck and hands.
Q) How many types of wrinkles are seen on the face?
A) There are 4 most commonly seen wrinkles on the face. They are Forehead Lines, Frown Lines, Crows Feet and Bunny Lines.
Forehead Lines: These are horizontal lines which appear on the forehead and become more pronounced when one raises eyebrows.
Frown Lines: As the name suggests, these lines form between eyes and appear prominent when one frowns.
Crows Feet: Their shape distinctly reminds you of the feet of a crow and these lines are found around the eyes. They become pronounced when one smiles>
Bunny Lines: Theses are lines formed on the nose which become dominant when one scrunches, making the nose resemble that of a rabbit.
Q) What are the common treatments for Wrinkles?
A) There are various solutions in the market which promise to fight wrinkles. But then it is not the numbers but the effectiveness of each solution that counts. People have been using various anti-wrinkles solutions but are most left dissatisfied by their tall claims. What most people fail to understand is that wrinkles can only be removed if the applied solution either works on contracted muscles which cause wrinkles or expands the volme of the skin. Creams work on just the upper surface of the skin.
Q) What is Botox?
A) Botox is the most popular wrinkle reduction treatment. It is a natural, purified protein that relaxes the wrinkle causing muscles, creating a smoothened rejuvenated and a more youthful appearance. It’s a simple non-surgical procedure that smoothens the deep persistent facial lines which develop over time.Botox is the only botulinum toxin in the world registered for the treatment of frown lines and approved by the U.S FDA. It has been widely tested with over 15 years of safe and effective use in millions of patients worldwide.
Q) How does Botox work?
A) It is simple ! Botox relaxes the tiny facial muscles that cause expression lines, leaving the overlying skin smooth and unwrinkled. Once the line gradually smoothens out from disuse and new creases are prevented from forming. Simply translated it means, one has a face that looks a lot younger and fresh.
Q) Are there any side effects of Botox?
A) Botox is approved by US FDA for cosmetic use, thereby declaring it a safe product. There is no report of serious allergic reactions or other significant side effects, except for minor side effects such as bruising. Botox has been in use in use for over 15 years and its safety in long-term use has been well established.
Q) How much time does the Botox therapy take?
A) Ten minutes. Yes, that’s all it takes to get treated with Botox. That is how it is known as a “lunch-time procedure”. Just a few tiny injections relax the muscles that cause age related lines to form. The muscles are kept relaxed for 4-6 months. In the process, one gets a new younger look.
Q) How does the Botox effects last?
A) As every patient is different from the other, it depends entirely on the individual, but a single treatment of Botox will normally last for approximately 4-6 months and eventually there is a gradual fading of its effects. At this point, it’s advisable to return to the doctor to continue treatment.
Q) Is Botox only for celebrities?
A) Contrary to popular belief, Botox is most widely used by people like you and me and not necessarily only by celebrities.
Q) Is Botox expensive?
A) When considering one’s facial enhancement options. Botox is quite affordable. Many people are surprised at the relative cost compared to other appearance related investments such as facials, hair coloring and wrinkles creams. As patient reports “BOTOX is surprisingly affordable-around the same as a few facials or visits to the hair colorist”.
Q) What causes a Mole?
A) Moles occur when cells in the skin grow in a cluster instead of being spread throughout the skin. These cells are called Melanocytes, and they make the pigment that gives skin its natural colour.
